OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT FIRMS

Software Consortium, Inc. was ranked by Baltimore Business Journal as the seventh largest firm in its 2010 ranking of software development companies in the Baltimore metro area, moving the firm up from last year’s ninth position. The company is known for providing high impact and high value technology solutions and management expertise to fast growth, mid-tier and large organizations in a wide range of markets, as well as government agencies.

Software Consortium celebrated its nineteenth year of business on April 1, 2010 and noted several major accomplishments in 2009.

The company grew its consulting teams with the addition of approximately 25 technology professionals and opened a third office in the Silver Spring Business Innovation Center to serve its expanding DC practice.

Software Consortium ensures its high standards of excellence in client accounts with CIO oversight and added three new Practice Directors to work directly with branches. Their role is to assist in providing technical continuity throughout the engagement process, with a focus on aligning client goals with consulting teams and development plans through delivery.

Software Consortium also launched a new publication, InSIGHT, a monthly newsletter which communicates emerging management best practices and leading technologies to their large community of IT managers and technologists. The newsletter, like Software Consortium’s popular Seminar Programs, is an extension of their knowledge sharing ethic.

Software Consortium’s 2009 Project Leadership Seminars focused on helping IT leaders improve their own and team performance by adapting their leadership approach to be the most effective, per new research on brain functioning. The popular offering will be continued into 2010.
