Software Consortium Hires New Vice President of Business Development

Software Consortium Inc., an established information technology solutions provider to commercial and government accounts in the DC/Baltimore region, has announced the hiring of Brian Zernhelt, as Vice President of Business Development, Commercial. Mr. Zernhelt brings over 20 years experience in leading sales in software technology, services and the hospitality industries from start up ventures to Fortune 1000 firms.

Mr. Zernhelt will help position Software Consortium as a woman-owned small business partner, with a special emphasis on attaining new healthcare IT projects that leverage the firm’s extraordinary successes in this vertical market with top companies including Johns Hopkins, CareFirst, MedStar Health, Symphony Healthcare, University of Maryland, as well as U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and Dept of Energy. She will also service commercial accounts.

Prior to joining Software Consortium, Mr. Zernhelt has led efforts in software product development, executive recruitment, marketing and business development.
